PS racing
The Team was founded by Pekka Saarinen, who is recognized as one of the best coaches and drivers in Asia. Pekka won 4 different titles in his single seater career from German Formula Renault to Asian Formula Renault and since then he has focused more to be on the “other” side of the pitwall.
The team took part for the Asian Formula Renault from 2007 on with a step up in quality and competitively which permitted the team to make great signings, achieving great success, having always finished in the top two teams in the overall rankings since then.
In 2007, on the first year the results were good and the team finished second overall in the constructor’s championship and took the drivers title with a huge margin. The team took 9 victories, 2 podiums and 10 fastest lap times from 14 races.
For PS racing 2008 looked bright again with drivers from USA (Geoffrey Kwong), Indonesia (Alexandra Asmasoebrata) and China (Hongwei Cao). Team managed to do great things in Asian Formula Renault finishing 2nd and 3rd in drivers and taking a team championship trophy to home. PS racing took 3 victories, 16 podiums and 4 fastest lap times from 14 starts.
Today PS Racing is competing in Formula Abarth and in Asian Formula Renault 2.0 . PS racing has expanded its professionalism to touring cars and will involve as coaching and technical partner in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, China Touring Car Championship and in many other touring car activities. |
